This is definitely a trip of a life time for Bruce and I, it is something we always talked about, but never thought it would actually happen. We have the pleasure of exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam for 3 days before leaving for Tanzania Africa for 13 days. We will be spending 1 day in Arusha before embarking on a 12 day private safari. After weaving our way across the Serengeti we will jet off to Paris the City of Romance for 4 lovely days before heading home.

6:00 a.m.
We were up bright and early this morning, on the road by 6:00 a.m. We were just talking about listening to the lion roar through the night, then we came around the corner about 5 km away from our camp and a male lion was coming across the plains.
He passed right past the back or our jeep on his way to the Kopje's ( a formation of granite rock formation). He just kept walking and did't even acknowledge we were there.
We followed him around the Kopje and watched him climb the rock. He went all the way to the top and where he nestled in for the day.
This is the first time he acknowledged us, as he was climbing the rock he took one look back to see if we were still there. I cannot explain the feeling you get when you see one of these guys coming toward your vehicle. It is hard to believe that we were in thier environment and not a zoo.
