This is definitely a trip of a life time for Bruce and I, it is something we always talked about, but never thought it would actually happen. We have the pleasure of exploring the beautiful city of Amsterdam for 3 days before leaving for Tanzania Africa for 13 days. We will be spending 1 day in Arusha before embarking on a 12 day private safari. After weaving our way across the Serengeti we will jet off to Paris the City of Romance for 4 lovely days before heading home.

First stop the Eiffel Tower
We arrived at our hotel about 1:00 p.m. and were out the door sightseeing by 1:30. Our hotel is 3 blocks from the Eiffel Tower so of course that was our first stop. It is quite the structure.
The guys selling thier wears reminds you of Mexico, It gets annoying after awhile. plus many scams going on to get you to donate money to the poor. You just have to ignore them when they come up to you.
There is a very large presence of the Army in many places in the city, all the tourist attractions mostly, they walk around with their guns monitoring the people.
Of course it is much colder here, Bruce and I are freezing, after all coming from 30 degree weather to 8 degrees is a bit of a culture change, We are afraid to go back to Calgary to -20 degrees, I won't be able to leave the house for a week.
