We arrived at the Hotel around 12:45 but could not check in until 3:00 p.m. so decided to do a little sight seeing.

There are pigeons everywhere, they fly in your path when you are walking, you have to be careful.




This is Dam Square, it is right accross from out Hotel, a great place for the pigeons to hang out







I have never seen so many bikes in my life, the main roads have a lane for the tram, cars and then a lane for bikes. The pedestrians do not have the right of way here, it seems like the bikes rule here. Some people decorate them with flowers, add carts ti carry their children, etc, but most are just a one speed old rusty bikes, because they sit outside rain or shine They actually have a parkade and barges for them, it is amazing.

The architecture is amazing here, the detailing is unbelievable. It is so old and quaint. The streets are very narrow and all the roads and sidewalks are cobblestone. (very hard on your feet).






Shopping right behind our hotel. The street runs for about three blocks and had alot of name brands that we have at home as well as many we had never heard of.
