Luxury Lamala Tented Camp

The Luxury Lamala Tented Camp was awesome. It is a portable camp which means they set up in April and take it down in December for a few months. Even though the camp is in the middle of no where they plumb in a flush toilet and you have a bag shower. You have about 4 minutes to shower so they tell you to get wet, soap up and then turn the shower off until you are ready to rinse off. These camps are run off solar power.









The inside of the tents were beautiful, the bed was the most comfortable one of the trip, had a great sleep until some zebra walked through our camp about 4:00 a.m. and started barking and then right after that the lion started roaring. We were told the next morning the lion was in the workers camp. (which was very close to our camp).
Glad I did not know that, I thought he was at least 5 km away.

All the tented camps had easy chairs and writing desks, they make them just like a hotel room. One could get used to this kind of camping!!
