Inside the crater

We headed down into the crater at 6:00 a.m. that is when the gates open. It is a long way down on a very poor road, I must admit I was more than a little nervous going down and coming out of the crater.
It is very hot, dry and dusty at the base of the crater, they need rain desperately, the animals are finding it hard to find green spaces. There is only a couple clusters of trees for shade and a few streams for water. A lot of the animals tend to go to the trees for some shade in the middle of the day.
